Raising 2,381 m (7,811 ft), Santa Ana volcano this is the tallest in the country. You reach the rim of this massive crater from with old lava flows, ash layers from countless eruptions and a turquoise sulfur-acid crater lake at the bottom.
Walk in the lush cloud forest to volcanic wasteland, enjoying some of the most spectacular views of the volcanic belt. One of the best hikes in the country to one of the most active volcanoes in El Salvador.
